Senator Joseph F. Vitale of Middlesex County has pre-filed legislation for the 2010 session that revises the requirements for emergency medical services delivery. This legislation is a result of the Tri-Data report that was completed in 2007. We are still reading and digesting this material. Below is a link for you to view the proposed legislation.

The NJ EMS Task Force has selected EMS Consulting Services to deliver EMS specific training programs throughout Southern New Jersey during the first half of 2010. The programs we offer have direct impact on the preparedness and coordinated response of the EMS community all across the State. All of our programs have been endorsed by the NJ EMS Task Force as the standard of education for EMS leadership and responders. We are now pleased to bring these programs to the entire state.
Through Task Force funding, the courses will be open at no charge to: NJ EMS Task Force Members, NJ County EMS Coordinators and deputies, Key County EMS Leadership (as selected by County EMS Coordinators as a key part of their response plans) and all Volunteer EMT’s eligible for the NJ EMT Training Fund. Any other attending individuals would be charged per our standard fee schedule. Coordination and sign ups would be handled by the Course Administrator EMS Consulting Services and held at County Training Facilities.

· NJ EMS Staging Area Management Plan Review (4 hours)
· Staging Area Manager for EMS Operations (8 hours)
· Medical Unit Leader (8 hours)
· Ground Support Unit Leader for EMS Operations (8 hours)
· Situation Unit Leader for EMS Operations (4 hours)
· Incident Safety Officer for EMS Operations (20 hours)
· Demobilization Unit Leader (4 hours)
